The Issue of Weak Car AC When Idling

Causes of Weak AC Cooling at a Stop:
- Radiator or AC Fan Failure: When driving, natural airflow cools the AC condenser. When stopped, the car relies entirely on the electric cooling fan. If the fan is weak or the high speed isn't engaging, the freon gas won't cool down, leading to instant warm air.
- Weak AC Compressor: A failing compressor might only manage to compress the gas when the engine RPM is high (during driving). At a stop (low RPM), it struggles to pump the refrigerant efficiently.
- Low Freon Gas: A minor leak can result in insufficient gas for optimal cooling, which is much more noticeable when idling.
- Dirty AC Condenser: Dust, bugs, and debris blocking the exterior of the condenser prevent proper heat exchange.
